9 Day/ 8 Night Essential Egypt with Nile Cruise: Our most popular program combines a 4 night stay in Cairo with a 4 night exploration of the Upper Nile Valley in the comfort of a cruising hotel. Sightseeing tours cover the world famous sites in and around Cairo: the Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis, Sakkara, the Egyptian Museum, Coptic and Islamic Cairo. Journey south by air to the ancient city of Thebes: explore the fabled tombs of the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of the great female Pharaoh, Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, the great temple complexes of Karnak, Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae. Enjoy a taste of the Nubian south in the charming city of Aswan. All Cairo touring is provided by private car with driver and English speaking guide. | The Itinerary: | | Day 1: | Arrive Cairo International Airport, meeting and assistance through customs and transfer to the hotel. | | Day 2: | Morning tour of the ancient capital of Egypt at Memphis, the Step Pyramid and the Tombs of Sakkara. Lunch at Sakkara Country Club. Afternoon tour of the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. | | Day 3: | Morning tour of the Egyptian Museum, the Coptic Museum, Old Cairo and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Afternoon tour of the Citadel, the Alabaster and Sultan Hassan Mosques and the Khan el Khalili Bazaar. | | Day 4: | Early morning drive to the airport for flight to Luxor.
